How to increase traffic to your website
Are you tired of paying Google, Facebook and Yahoo! for ads? Me too!
When I started, I enrolled in so many programs that promise you the world in terms of getting rich quickly and making 6 figures a year and so on and so forth. The bad news is that a lot of those programs are scams unfortunately. But the good news is that is IS possible to make those 6 figures a year once you are established in your online business.
What I mean by established is once you have your list! Now how do you build your list?
It is true that paying for PTC's (pay for click programs) like Google will bring traffic to your website, you will probably make sales too, but you will soon realize that the money you spent on the PTC is more than what you earned!
That's why I am a firm believer in Web2.0!
Now what is this all about??
If you look it up in wikipedia, it means the following: '"Web 2.0 refers to a perceived second generation of web development and design, that facilitates communication, secure information sharing and collaboration on the worldwide web."
In other words, web 2.0 is a new way of sharing information, suggestions and comments on social networks and bookmarks. Hence, the new way of advertising which I personally call "the web word of mouth"
Social networks include but are not limited to: facebook.com, myspace.com, youtube.com etc. These social networks are used to make friends, to build networks and through these networks, people make communities and share information and advice.
Another side of web 2.0 is blogs. Creating blogs and making them public is another way of advertising your product. People get to see your content and they can tell their friends etc about it. Writing articles and press releases are also at the top of the list of things to do to get your word out there. There are a lot of websites where you can write articles and press releases. These websites publish your content and send it to other media and forum sites through RSS subscriptions.
Of course, we should not forget the equation: "quality versus quantity". You should always think about the quality of your content rather than the quantity. It is always better to have 5 lines of good and well written content rather than having 100 pages of useless information!
In short, web2.0 is the new form of advertising that many people still do not know about and it is the ultimate method of future web marketers. This is just a short definition about web 2.0 and its benefits.
When I realized that, I stopped running after shiny offers and started doing the right thing!
Good Luck!
