Blogging Tips- How To Get More Traffic To Your Blog- When I first started blogging, I was barely getting 20 visitors a day. Most bloggers know that in order for them to make a living with their blog, they need quality traffic. So where does this quality traffic come from?; the search engines. There are a thousand things you can do to get more traffic to your blog. Here is how to do just that:

Pick keywords with low to no competition- Picking the right keywords can make or break your traffic rankings. For one, you should pick keywords that have low competition with advertisers. Use the Google Adwords tool (free) and type in your blog post topic keyword. You should get a list of keywords that are relevant. Beside the keyword, you should see a box that is filled with a light green. Try to pick a keyword that doesn't have that much green or pick five keywords that have less than 200 searchers for that specific word. Now, use these keywords in the blog post title, and throughout the post.

Put the blog post's title in the tag- There has been heavy debate amongst bloggers rather putting the blog's title into the tag will increase traffic. I have experimented with this and found that, "yes", you do get more traffic this way.

Bold the blog title- It will also help your traffic ratings if you rewrite the blog title and place it in the beginning of your blog post first sentence. You should also highlight the title in order to let the search engines know how relevant the keyword is.

Ping your blog using only 1 service- The misconception about blog pinging is that you can get more traffic if use more than one service. So far, there are only two hot ones on the market; Pingoat and Pingomatic. I prefer PingGoat because I seem to get the most traffic from this service. Only ping to one and remember; blog pinging is not for direct traffic purposes, it is only to let the search engines know that you have updated your blog. This is one of the most important blogging tips out there.

Also, don't forget to bold any relevant words. Make sure to do this for the blog title and only two words in the post. If you over-do it, it can actually hurt your chances of getting ranked in the search engine.

Link to other blogs- This can help you with link juice and sometimes, the top bloggers might actually check to see who is linking to him. You can get a good referral if a top blogger decides to write about your blog J
