Top 3 Ways to Do Viral Marketing With E-Books

E-books have a good advantage in that viral marketing can be done on them very easily. This is an extra leverage that you can use on e-book marketing. Viral marketing through e-books have some extra advantages compared to pay per click or search engine marketing, such as having the ability to build trust more easily, quick exposure and acts as a pre-sell copy for you.

Here are the top 3 ways to do viral marketing with e-books:

Tip 1:
Use peer to peer networks. This works well if you a collection of e-book products, and you can circulate one of them, with links and more information on the other products as a form of pre-sell message. I do know that peer to peer networks are taboo subjects to be discussed about when we are dealing with the subject of internet marketing. The ironic thing is, peer to peer networks allows people to download products for free, which would normally cost something out of the network. Hence, the perceived value is present, and circulation is fast.

Tip 2:
Tap your affiliate networks and joint ventures. Yes, you may already have affiliate networks or joint venture partners, but you may not be leveraging them enough. Most of them have multiple products to push, so an above average incentive for your affiliates will put your products at the top of the pile. This will also attract more future affiliate partners.

Tip 3:
Use the marketing tactic of 'scarcity'. When something is scarce, its perceived value escalates compared to something commonly available. Your purchasers will also want to circulate the book among his friends and community, creating a viral effect automatically. Yes, you can't control this, but you can include links in your e-book to your other products with pre-sell message inside. Create scarcity by having a narrow selling window, say a week only, or limit the selling to only the first 100 purchasers.

The whole internet marketing game takes time to master, so learn from those who have been there to shorten your learning time, and avoid painful mistakes.
